CAT was founded with the purpose to develop high performance micro- to small gas turbines, associated electronic control systems and related ancillaries. Since conception, investment in infrastructure and skills have continued to earn CAT a reputation for innovation and technical excellence extending into the aerospace arena.

Gas turbines represent a specialized, extremely fine tolerance niche in the science of manufacturing, particularly at this scale. It is therefore critical to the Company to maintain the highest degree of precision manufacturing – making use of cutting-edge technology; accompanied with innovative ideas and groundbreaking vision.

Situated in Cape Town, South Africa, the CAT factory occupies industrial real estate equipped with in-house CNC CAD/CAM workstations.

CAT continues to assist a number of under- and post- graduate students at the University of Stellenbosch during their studies on gas turbines and turbine-related projects. In addition, CAT embarked on a mission to assist the Sakhikamva foundation. Sakhikamva is a NPO involved in aviation awareness and skills development for young and upcoming aviators and aerospace engineers.
